The EU agreed to increase access for Moldovan agricultural exports -- namely, plums, table grapes, apples, cherries, grape juice, tomatoes and garlic. For plums, table grapes, apples and cherries, the EU agreed to increase tariff rate quotas to reflect "recent trade volumes and Moldova's integration into the EU economy." For grape juice, tomatoes and garlic, the EU will allow imports of these products to enter duty-free, save for the "specific element of the entry price system for tomatoes."

The commission noted that increased market access for Moldovan products is conditional on the "gradual alignment of Moldova to relevant EU production standards, such as the use of pesticides."

Moldova agreed to improve market access for EU pork and poultry, frozen boneless meat, milk and butter. For pork and poultry, Moldova agreed to increase quotas, while the nation offered new tariff quotas for frozen boneless meat, milk and butter.

The EU and Moldova next will seek to formally adopt the deal.
