Importers Drop Suits on Exclusion of Drones, Plywood AD/CVD Reviews
The Court of International Trade on July 22 granted four importers' voluntarily dismissals of six cases challenging the 2021-22 reviews of the antidumping duty and countervailing duty orders on hardwood plywood products from China. In addition, the court dismissed importer Skyhigh Tech's case, per its request, challenging CBP's denial of its protest claiming its drones were improperly deemed excluded.

Importers Paxton Hardwoods and Taraca Pacific each brought two cases challenging the AD and CVD reviews, while importers USply and Boise Cascade Building Materials Distribution dismissed only their cases challenging the AD review. Paxton and Taraca are represented by Mowry & Grimson, while USply, Boise Cascade and Skyhigh Tech are represented by Sandler Travis. Counsel from both firms didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
