WTO Dispute Settlement Body Releases Jan. 27 Meeting Agenda
The World Trade Organization's published agenda for the Dispute Settlement Body's Jan. 27 meeting includes a request from China to establish a panel in its dispute against Turkey's measures on electric vehicles and other types of vehicles from China.

In addition, a dispute panel will issue its report in a spat on Panama's measures on the importation of certain products from Costa Rica. The DSB will then discuss Egypt's nomination of Yomna El-Shabrawy, the head of Egypt's trade remedies sector in its Ministry of Trade and Industry, to be added to the Indicative List of Governmental and Non-Governmental Panelists.
The meeting also will feature U.S. status reports on the implementation of DSB recommendations on: antidumping measures on certain hot-rolled steel products from Japan; antidumping and countervailing measures on large residential washers from South Korea; certain methodologies and their application to antidumping proceedings involving China; and Section 110(5) of the U.S. Copyright Act. Status reports also are expected from Indonesia on measures related to the import of horticultural products, animals and animal products; Australia on antidumping and countervailing duty measures on certain products from China; and from the EU on measures affecting the approval and marketing of biotech products.
The U.S. will make a statement regarding China's challenge to the U.S. marking requirements for goods from Hong Kong, and countries other than the U.S. will propose nominations for the Appellate Body.
