Under the Sudan sanctions, OFSI added Andrei Sergeevich Mandel, director general of M-Invest, and Mikhail Potepkin, director of Meroe Gold, along with three entities: Al-Solag Mining Co., Meroe Gold and M-Invest. The U.K. said these parties threaten the "peace, stability and security of Sudan."
Under the Mali sanctions list, OFSI added Ivan Aleksandrovitch Maslov, who heads the mercenary fighting force Wagner Group in Mali. The U.K. said he is responsible for the "deliberate targeting of civilians."
Under the CAR restrictions, OFSI added five individuals and two entities. The individuals are Alexander Ivanov, Aleksandr Maloletko, Vitalii Perfilev, Konstantin Pikalov and Dmitri Sytii, who all work for Wagner. The two entities are Lobaye Invest Sarlu and Sewa Security Services.
In another July 20 notice, OFSI dropped one entry from its Russia sanctions regime and corrected another listing. Oleg Tinkov, former stakeholder in TCS Group Holdings, was delisted while the listing for transportation firm Sun Ship Management (D) Ltd. was corrected.
