CSIS Economic Security and Technology (EST) Department’s Post

The EST Department is pleased to welcome our new non-resident Senior Technical Expert, Matt Borman.     Borman served as principal deputy assistant secretary for strategic trade and technology security and deputy assistant secretary for export administration at the Bureau of Industry and Security-U.S. Department of Commerce for over 20 years. In those positions, he led the development and implementation of export control, nonproliferation, and defense industrial base policies, studies, and decisions administered by the department.
