State Department Approves Military Sales to Finland, Peru, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands

The State Department recently approved possible military sales to Finland, Peru, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said.

The sale to Finland includes $1.07 billion worth of "AIM-120D-3 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles" and related equipment, and the principal contractor will be RTX.

Peru would purchase $3.42 billion worth of F-16 aircraft and other "elements of logistics and program support." The principal contractors will be Lockheed Martin, General Electric Aerospace and RTX.

The sale to Norway includes $113 million worth of "GBU-39B Small Diameter" bombs and related equipment. The principal contractor will be Boeing.

Belgium would buy $567.8 million worth of "AIM-9X Sidewinder Missiles" and related equipment, and the principal contractor will be RTX.

The Netherlands would receive $570 million worth of "AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles" and related equipment. The principal contractor will be RTX.
