Ex-Im Bank Financed No New Dual-Use Transactions in 2024, GAO Says

The Export-Import Bank didn’t approve any new transactions involving dual-use goods in FY 2024, the Government Accountability Office reported Aug. 20. The bank also, as of August, wasn't monitoring the end use of any dual-use export transactions "because all such transactions had been repaid in full."

The bank had financed one transaction with the Mexican government in 2023 that involved two satellites. "EXIM received final repayment of the satellites in January 2025, which ended the requirement for the government of Mexico to report on it, according to EXIM," the report said.
