State Department Approves 4 Military Sales to Ukraine

The State Department recently approved four possible military sales to Ukraine worth more than $650 million combined, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said.

One sale includes $150 million in "M109 Self-Propelled Howitzer Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Capability" and related equipment, and the principal contractors will be BAE Systems, Daimler Truck North America, and Allison Transmission, with all work occurring in Europe.

Another includes $180 million of "Air Defense Sustainment" and related equipment, and the principal contractors will be Sierra Nevada, V2X, Radionix, and Systems Electronic Export.

A third sale includes $150 million of "Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Capability" and related equipment. The principal contractors will be BAE Systems, Cummins, Leonardo DRS, and Renk Group, with all work occurring in Europe.

The State Department also approved a $172 million sale of "HAWK Phase III Missile System and Sustainment" and related equipment, and the principal contractors will be Sielman, RTX and ProjectXYZ.
