China is adding Aerospace Industrial Development Corp., Geostat Aerospace & Technology Inc., National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology, JC Technology Inc., CSBC Corp., Jong Shyn Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Lungteh Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., and Gong Wei Co. Ltd. to its export control list, which blocks them from receiving certain Chinese exports of dual-use technology without a special license, the Ministry of Commerce said July 9, according to an unofficial translation. A ministry spokesperson said those entities have worked with Taiwan "separatist forces" to "seek independence through force." The measures are meant to "safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait," the spokesperson said.

Beijing last month criticized Taiwan's decision to add certain Chinese companies to its list of entities subject to stringent export license requirements, saying Taiwan was "kneeling and ingratiating themselves with the U.S." (see 2506170014).
