Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

The GAO said it won't release the report publicly because it contains controlled unclassified information. It also doesn't plan to produce a version with the sensitive information removed, a GAO spokesperson said. The report was required by the FY 2024 National Defense Authorization Act and shared with the House and Senate Armed Services committees, the spokesperson added.

In June 2023, the Defense Department released a set of recommendations to speed up FMS, including one directing the Pentagon to “review and update relevant policies” and better “empower accountable officials to improve the efficiency of the review and release of technology” to U.S. trading partners (see 2306200012).
