US Ambassador Nominee Wants Luxembourg to Enhance Foreign Investment Screening
Stacey Feinberg, President Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. ambassador to Luxembourg, said June 12 that she would work with Luxembourg to improve its screening of foreign investment, especially from China.

Despite its “nefarious” intentions, China has an “overwhelming” presence in Luxembourg’s banking sector, including owning a 90% stake in a top bank, Feinberg testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Feinberg, a venture capitalist, said she's also concerned that Luxembourg buys security screening equipment from a Chinese company that is banned from the U.S. for national security reasons.
