The White House said Qatar Airways will buy 210 Boeing aircraft with GE Aerospace engines, while Raytheon agreed to a $1 billion deal to supply Qatar with “counter-drone capabilities." It also said General Atomics secured a nearly $2 billion agreement for Qatar to purchase its MQ-9B remotely piloted aircraft system.

The announcement, which comes amid President Donald Trump’s visit to Qatar and other Gulf countries, “advances opportunities for U.S. companies to expand long-standing partnerships and for Qatari entities to embrace U.S. technologies, adopt best practices, and finalize new agreements for significant sales and investments,” the White House said. It noted that Qatar is the 12th-largest U.S. foreign military sales partner, with more than $26 billion in active cases.
