BIS Adds, Removes Parties From Boycott Requestor List

The Bureau of Industry and Security this week added 30 parties to its boycott requester list, a list of entities that have asked other companies to boycott goods from certain countries in violation of the Export Administration Regulations. It also removed 18 parties after they certified that they "stopped making boycott-related requests in transactions with U.S. persons," BIS said.

Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

Since first introducing the list in March 2024, BIS said over 65 entities, "most from countries that support the Arab League boycott of Israel," have agreed to stop including boycott terms in transactions with U.S. companies. U.S. people and companies should "diligently review transaction documents from all sources, especially those involving these listed parties, to identify possible boycott-related language and to determine whether U.S. person recipients have a reporting requirement to BIS."

BIS Undersecretary Jeffrey Kessler said: “We will not tolerate boycotts of Israel in this administration."
