McCaul Again Asks Biden to End Israel Weapons Sales 'Delays'
House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, again urged the Biden administration to end delays that he said are slowing shipments of bombs and more than 10 other weapons sales to Israel.

The U.S. needs to “double down on our partnerships and shore up our alliances,” McCaul said in a Nov. 1 letter to the White House, “starting with a policy directive to ship the 2,000-pound bombs and to prioritize all pending Direct Commercial Sale and Foreign Military Sale cases to Israel, including the numerous cases that have been subjected to unprecedented bureaucratic delays.”
The message follows a similar letter McCaul sent to President Joe Biden last month (see 2410040042). He said the weapons sales will help show Iran and its allies “that there is no daylight between the United States and Israel” amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel. McCaul also asked the administration to “consult” with Congress before “further withholding of assistance to our close ally Israel.”
