CBP last renewed the rail cargo pilot -- along with its pilot for vessel cargo -- for two years in April 2022 (see 2204260042). An agency spokesperson didn't respond to a request for comment about whether CBP also plans to renew the vessel pilot, which was scheduled to expire April 27.
CBP has been working to mandate the use of EEM since at least July 2021 (see 2107220036 and 2312050026).
