Scott said a new wave of peaceful protests against the “oppressive” Cuban government underscores the need for his “Denying Earnings to the Military Oligarchy in Cuba and Restricting Activities of the Cuban Intelligence Apparatus” (DEMOCRACIA) Act, which he reintroduced in February 2023.
