The agency warned that high corn prices and the strong dollar may “hinder” Indonesia’s plan to import more corn, adding that it expects the country’s corn imports to increase by 20% to 1.2 million metric tons of corn for the 2022/2023 season compared with the previous forecast of 1 million metric tons.
