State Dept. Approves Military Sales to Finland, Lithuania, UK

The State Department approved three potential military sales, to Finland, Lithuania and the U.K., worth more than $1.5 billion combined, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Oct. 23.

The sale to Finland includes $500 million worth of “Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles-Extended Range” and related equipment, and the principal contractor will be Northrop Grumman Systems. Lithuania could receive $100 million worth of “Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles” and related equipment, and the principal contractor would be Raytheon Missiles and Defense. The U.K. would buy $957.4 million worth of “Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles,” and the principal contractor would be Lockheed Martin.
