State Dept. Approves Military Sales to UAE, Belgium

The State Department approved two potential military sales, to the United Arab Emirates and Belgium, worth more than $1 billion combined, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said July 19.

The agency approved a $980.4 million sale to the UAE for “C-17 Aircraft Sustainment” and related equipment. Boeing will be the prime contractor.

DSCA also approved a $127 million sale to Belgium for “F-16 Sustainment” and related equipment. The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin.
