State Dept. Approves Military Sales to Taiwan, South Korea, Norway, Estonia
The State Department approved four separate potential military sales -- to Taiwan, South Korea, Norway and Estonia -- worth more than $1.5 billion combined, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said July 15.

The agency approved a $108 million sale to Taiwan for “Blanket Order Contractor Technical Assistance Support” and related equipment. The principal contractors will be “determined from approved vendors determined by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide these parts for the U.S. military,” DSCA said.
DSCA also approved a $130 million sale to South Korea for MK 54 Lightweight Torpedoes and related equipment. The principal contractor hasn’t yet been determined.
Norway will receive $950 million worth of “AIM-120 C-8 or D Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles” and related equipment. The principal contractor will be Raytheon Missile Systems Company.
Estonia will receive an “M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System” and related equipment valued at $500 million. The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin.
