- CBSA issues notice of investigation regarding certain small power transformers. The Canada Border Services Agency initiated an investigation April 15, under the Special Import Measures Act respecting the alleged injurious dumping of certain small power transformers from Austria, the Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu (Chinese Taipei) and South Korea. The investigation follows a complaint filed by Transformateurs Delta Star Inc., Northern Transformer Corp., PTI Transformers Inc., and PTI Transformers L.P.
- Product Recalls. CTK Kool Charmz Links with various charms manufactured in China recalled due to lead in excess of allowable limits; Mastercraft 8-Outlet Metal Power Bar manufactured in China recalled due to electric shock hazard; Battat B. Firefly Frank infant toy teether manufactured in China recalled due to choking hazard.
