- Canada, U.K. conclude talks on transitional trade continuity agreement. With the United Kingdom’s departure from the European Union effective Jan. 1, 2021, the governments of Canada and the U.K. announced Nov. 21 the successful conclusion of talks for a Canada-United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement -- an interim deal that will replace the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) as the two countries work toward negotiating a comprehensive free trade agreement. The continuity pact will provide continued access to CETA benefits on a bilateral basis, including the elimination of tariffs on 98% of Canadian exports to the U.K.
- Product Recalls: Model Number AC 10564 of Jasper Park Chandelier manufactured in Canada recalled, for injury hazard; Janod Toy Confetti Trumpet manufactured in China recalled, for choking and aspiration hazards.
