Ellison Educational Equipment Inc., on the classification of parts and accessories of calendaring/roller machines. CBP classified the merchandise under subheadings 8420.99.9000, 8420.10.9080 and 8441.90.0000, and said they are subject to 25% Section 301 tariffs under subheading 9903.88.01. Ellison says the merchandise is all classifiable under subheading 8420.99.9000 and eligible for exclusions from Section 301 tariffs under subheadings 9903.88.14 and 9903.88.19. #20-00122. Ava Enterprises Inc., on the classification of multimedia players without screens. CBP classified the merchandise under subheading 8527.21.4040 and said they are subject to 10% Section 301 tariffs. Ava says the merchandise is classifiable under subheading 8517.62.0090 (free) and not subject to Section 301 tariffs. #20-00123. Filed June 19.

Appeals of CIT Decisions

The following appeals of Court of International Trade decisions were filed at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit during the week of June 15-21:

Deacero S.A.P.I de C.V. and Deacero USA, Inc., appealing an April 13 CIT decision sustaining the final results of an antidumping duty administrative review on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Mexico covering entries in 2014-15. #20-1918. Opened June 19.
