The transfer shields those Allergan patents from pending cases before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board's inter partes review process, but the company is still asserting its patents in U.S. courts. St. Regis Mohawk also filed lawsuits against Amazon and Microsoft in connection with a similar transfer deal with SRC Labs involving tech patents.
